WALT: infer the meaning from a sentence.  

This week in reading we have been reading sentences and answering questions where the answer is hidden.  I found this quite easy because I could find the key words.  Now I need to work on doing it with paragraphs.

WALT: Solve word problems using addition and subtraction.

This week for numeracy we did problem solving.  We had to use addition and subtraction.  I used place value as my strategy. Here is one of the problems that I solved.

This week for literacy I did some free writing. I like free writing it is fun. My goal is is to write several sentences with correct punctuation.  

T1W4 electronics reflection

Today a man called Andrew came to our class and he taught us about electricity and how it works. My favorite bit was when we got the battery shaped like a button and the LED. When you put one of those battery on the LED the LED lights up. Do you know anything about electronics?
